"After leaving New Jersey, getting back onto Hatteras Island for the back end of the Winter Storm Riley swell proved to be an issue. With the highway washed out from the maxed out ocean, and the road closed, we reverted to desperate measures to make sure we didn't miss what was possibly going to be a day as good as it gets on the Outer Banks.
