ON A MISSION TO HELP LOCAL SURF SHOPS DURING COVID-19
COVID-19 has affected thousands of lives across our local surf communities and although the beaches have become a popular escape from our home lockdowns, our local surf shops are in trouble and need help.
Our favorite shops rely on local foot traffic during standard hours of operation. The foot traffic keeps sales flowing, it puts food on the table for families who have committed their lives to serve and support our obsession to 'play' in the ocean.
When the government requested a total shut down of all non-essential workplaces in states like California and New York, we knew we had to help our community. In Calfornia, for example, all of our local surf shops have had to close their doors. We're hoping that the Government will approve special assistance programs to help small businesses through this unprecedented time but frankly, our communities should be leading the way. That’s why we’re giving 10% of every sale to local surf shops across the USA.
THIS IS HOW (with images)
1) When shopping the OAM site and going through the checkout process there is a box designated for "special instructions." This box is found on the CART slide out and Cart Page and we've identified it with a red circle in the images below.

2) Select the box and a type box will appear. In the type box please put the name and city of your local shop.
3) Upon completion of your sale, 10% will be allocated for the shop you supported at checkout.
Thank you for helping OAM support shops & families throughout the country. We intend to keep this running as long as COVID-19 continues to affect the daily operations of our local shops.
Please share on Facebook and forward to others. Together we are stronger.
